Text alerts
A small number of places go on sale at a published minute, and they do not last long. If you would rather not watch an inbox for it, Beats & Branches can text you instead.
Entirely optional, and separate from your ticket
This list is for on-sales and announcements. You do not need to be on it to buy, though buying a ticket adds your mobile number to it (below), and joining it does not put you on any other list. If you already have a ticket, the messages that matter on the weekend are a different thing — text updates for ticket holders covers those, and they are urgent only.
What you get
- When tickets go on sale
- The date, and the time on the day — before it happens, not after.
- Presale reminders
- If you have a code and have not used it, one nudge while you are still first in line.
- Lineup announcements
- Who is playing, as they are confirmed.
- When something sells out
- So you are not deciding about a place that has already gone.
Message frequency varies — expect a handful around an on-sale and close to nothing the rest of the year. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers do not guarantee delivery, so this is a convenience and never the only place we say something.
How to join
That panel is one way to join. It belongs to Laylo, who hold the list and send the messages — the box is theirs, on their server, and what you type goes to them rather than to us. The same panel is on the home page, and on /buy while tickets are not on sale.
The other way is buying a ticket. Under the box where you type your mobile number, checkout says, in full:
Your mobile number also joins Beats & Branches drop texts, sent through Laylo: recurring automated marketing texts about ticket drops, on-sales, lineups and announcements. The first is a welcome text from Laylo. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any of them to leave, which has no effect on your ticket, or HELP for help. Once your order is recorded we send that number to Laylo, which adds it to this list. Orders placed before that notice was on the checkout page are not sent.
Those two are the whole of it. We do not add anyone from the Discord, or from anywhere else.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message and you will not get another one. It takes effect immediately and you do not have to explain yourself. Reply HELP for our contact details, or ask in the Discord and we will remove your number by hand.
Leaving this list has no effect on a ticket you have already bought, and does not stop the emails about your order.
Who holds your number
Your number is held by Laylo, who send the messages on our behalf. The signup box is a window onto their site rather than part of ours, so what you type goes straight to them and never touches this website — there is no signup form here, and nothing typed into that box reaches us. If you joined by buying a ticket, your number did pass through us: it is part of your order, and we send it on to them once the order is recorded, and keep a note with the order of the notice it was placed under. The privacy policy says exactly who holds what, and how to have it deleted.
They also keep the record of when you joined, because carrier rules require us to be able to show how you came to get these messages.
